Bharat ratna

Respected sir,
Sorry to trouble you again. Sir recently there has been demand for awarding Bharat ratna to Sachin Tendulkar for his undisputed dominance over cricket records. Right from lay men like me to high profile politicians, everyone is demanding it. Some are genuine appreciation others seem to cash politically on his popularity. I am also great fan of Sachin's batting. It prompted me to gather knowledge about bharat ratna.

As far as I came to know, it is given for exceptional contribution in fields of art, science, culture and public service. I think people demanding Bharat Ratna for him are unaware about the criteria. Cricket marginally comes into ambit of art, but giving Bharat Ratna to him will be injustice to thousands of people excelling in the 4 fields mentioned and well deserving it.

Also sir when I went through the list of Bharat Ratna recipients, few names surprised me. Some people well deserving it were given too late, and some got it without "exceptional" qualification. Sir i expect that you are intelligent enough to figure out the people I am talking about. Sir, please include M.K.Gandhi's name in that list as soon as possible (reason given for not including him is "not given posthumously", but later on it has been given). Nobel committee didn't do justice with him fearing british government, but how can list of bharat ratna be complete without his name? Sir please look in to this without any delay.

Sir, some names were there with qualification of being PM of India. I want to attract your attention towards one former PM of India who is counting his last days. He has devoted his whole life in politics and public service. He has been one of the most popular PM and eminent parliamentarian. I know it will be apolitical for your party if he gets it. He will definitely get it whenever his party will come in to power, sooner or later. But it would be better if he receives it by his own hands.

Sir, please try to ensure justice with talents of unsung deserving Indians by awarding them civilian awards not just limiting it to highly celebrated heroes. There are many doctors, engineers, scientists, academicians, diplomats, economists, bureaucrats who have made India proud in global scenario. Test cricket is played by just 9 countries, you can not call champion of cricket as world champion. Also achievements in cricket contribute nothing to country except entertainment and (?) income tax. I don't disrespect his achievements but let him be awarded with sports awards not civilian awards.

Sir again I don't dare to make this letter public, as Indians are very sentimental. They might criticize me severely for my opposition to the very emotional demand. SO I will convey my feelings to you later in person.

With Warm Regards
AAM AADAMI.

Dear PM

Respected Sir PM,

I beg your pardon for all probable inconveniences be caused to you by my letters. But sir I wanted to share all these with someone, but all my friends are very much apolitical and they get bored by my patriotic sentiments. So I felt it would be better to share these with you.

When I was writing my previous letter, I was not fully aware of details of sedition act. So I was overcautious and could not express my feelings to the fullest. But sir, I have gathered information about it and courage to express my dissents more boldly. Please forgive my arrogance, because I am innocent not arrogant.

In this letter, I am going to talk about two high profile guests of India. No sir, I am not going to say a word about visits of foreign dignitaries. I am going to bring two high profile guests of India in to your notice.

Both have approximately same story. They came to our country along with their colleagues. Both were trained in "skill development program" run across the border. Both were the only to be caught alive amongst their respective group members. By now you must have understood the people I am talking about.

Sir, senior pro of the two has been awarded death sentence and confirmed by apex court of the country. Sir, are we waiting for "muhurat' of his execution. I have come to know that his mercy petition is lying before president. Is our system is too sluggish to dispose this case? It is said waiting for death is worse than dying itself. Sir, it is my sincere request that don't let "hang till death" be converted in to "hang between life and death". Please advise president in this regard as soon as possible. Sir, I tried to find out fate of some such mercy petitions. To my surprise I came across on such petition which was rejected within few days. I think you must be aware of the case I am talking.

Second case is still in its infancy. Amount of money being spent on his security is more than combined total worth of common Indian men. Sir, I understand his diplomatic importance, he helped us to prove a well known fact. As whole world knows it, i won't repeat it. Sir please try to understand "dear money" of poor taxpayers of India should not be spent in providing security to person who had made mockery of security of India. Sir, are we waiting for another plane hijacking and then we would be forced to free these people so that they can mastermind another attack on our mother land?

Sir, I would request you to learn from history. When in our country we have special tribunals for many issues, why can't we have special permanent tribunal for trail of such rare of rarest crimes. It would minimize latent period between arrest and execution to minimum. Sir i would request you to look in to possibilities of setting up such tribunal. Sir if I would have had finance and reserves to launch a "hunger strike" campaign to push for this demand then I might have tried it.

With warm regards.

A letter to PM

Respected Sir,

this letter is being written by a "common man"..the "aam aadami" of ur party. Sir, in this era of lobbyists , nepotism it is very "uncommon" to find a "common man" so it would be appropriate to use term "lay man" for people like me. We are lay man because we do not understand technicalities of economy, politics and all. I don't want to be accused of being gender biased so will use term "lay person".

Sir, I m not able to understand whatever is going on in our country. I would like to start with economics as it is your own subject and it has troubled me a lot. Sir, what is "inflation"? whatever it is but it has very mystic character. I can not understand how did it became negative from double digit positive just before elections and again touched double digit after results.

my second doubt is also related with economics. Sir I read somewhere in news paper that total onion production in our country last year was around 95lac tonnes, daily consumption being 600 tonnes; how did onion became costlier than petrol? and sir, if onion is so profitable then why are onion farmers committing suicides?

Sir, my third question is also in the ambit of economics. Why are salary and allowances of MPs and MLAs are much more than that of Resident Doctors, Medical officer at PHC and probably more than that of District collector. As far as productivity of legislators and that of others mentioned are compared, I find former to be least amongst all.

Sir, next question is regarding politics. Its your greatness that you bow with folded hands in front of a person who is much younger than you and stands nowhere in front of you in terms of qualification and achievements; but it hurts your ego to concede demand of JPC probe in a mammoth scam. As far as I know, we have representative democracy, it means MPs represent people of India, when 46% of MPs request you for JPC probe it implies that 46% of Indians are requesting you to do so. It is surprising that you underestimate this voice.

Sir, it seems that you are very much impressed with Gandhian ideology of "HATE THE CRIME NOT CRIMINAL"; that's why your party always says "we will fight corruption" but yours' stand is too soft towards corrupt people. Sir, please accept my sarcastic appreciation for this.

Sir your did well to launch MNREGS, but with Rs10000/year can a family survive in era of food inflation? With help of some leaks we came to know that certain gvt policies are improvised in interest of corporates, but can't our gvt improvise certain policies for AAM AADAMI?

Sir, with your gvt's inability to combat food inflation, doctors of the country will be hurt. Because it will eliminate poor (they will starve to death) and obesity (which is root cause of many diseases and is bread and butter of modern physicians). Sir please do something to save vulnerable species of "doctors".

Sir, i have much more to write but i can not due to constraint of time. Also i can't post this letter to you as i fear S.124 of IPC. Just heard that some doctor got life imprisonment under this section. I will try to communicate my feelings to you some time later.

with warm regards
AAM AADAMI
